The Acquisition and Retention Marketing Manager is 100% focused on driving more qualified customers to while maximizing lifetime value. Managing all acquisition and retention efforts ranging from paid search to marketing automation, you appreciate both the art and science of direct marketing, but if forced to pick -  you’d choose the science. You have a deep passion for measurement and data, and rely on it heavily to point you in the appropriate direction.  
Essential Duties:   
  • Generate new customers and drive transactions. Maintain a strategy of cost-effective acquisition:: digital (search, affiliate, social, email, influencer, etc.) and may also oversee direct traditional (direct mail, print, promotion, radio, etc.). You will continually identify and employ new and innovative growth marketing ideas.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategy for all email and CRM marketing efforts (Ad Hoc, Transactional, Retargeting, and Automation)
  • Increase lifetime value through marketing automation spanning across retargeting, email, and direct mail (among others)
  • Improve all KPIs: CPA, conversion rates, email: deliverability, open rate, click rate, conversion rate, opt-out rate, revenue, as well as specific business goals around individual campaigns
  • Maintain high levels of data hygiene of high-volume lists and data from multiple sources, including CRM, and other tools
  • Utilize BI data to employ intelligent data-driven strategies and decisions; and instill an analytical environment by managing and establishing data-driven daily, monthly, and quarterly KPIs. Optimizing LTV, CPA, AOV should be primary goal.
  • Select vendors and contractors when needed, manage to KPIs, achieve best pricing, and reduce costs.
  • Be consistent with the brand, while driving awareness and generating customers.
  • Understand the movement of customers through the lifecycle. Determine effective messaging for products, price points, and customer variations
  • Creating programs to increase customer engagement, cross-sell other offerings, and incentivize with referral / promotion.
  • 1-3 years of digital marketing experience at consumer companies that reached scale of at least $50M+ in revenue
  • Deep eCommerce experience is essential
  • Understand the full marketing funnel, conversion optimization, and retention methodologies.  In-depth knowledge of segmentation & targeting (CRM), acquisition & retention (LTV), and conversion reporting & analytics (KPI).
  • Experience using analytical and BI tools such as Adobe Analytics/Omniture, Google Analytics, and Domo to create insightful reporting to track the business and inform strategy.
  • Management of large database, customer segmentation and transformation of data into actionable insights.
  • Social media experience on both the organic and paid side (Influencers, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.).
  • Experience with CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) and tools (VWO, Optimizely, or equivalent).
  • Tech savvy and knowledgeable of HTML/CSS/Adobe Creative suite a plus. Ideally you have past experience establishing an eCommerce platform and customizing for scalability.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with designers, engineers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Experience in beauty is helpful, but not required.
