Senior Marketing Director

The Senior Marketing Director will lead milk + honey’s marketing team with a focus on brand development and marketing programs to drive rapid growth in direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels for milk + honey’s skincare, bath and body products.  This individual will work in conjunction with our spa and salon Marketing Director to drive brand awareness.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Build a differentiated, well-recognized, and respected brand, known for having the absolute highest standards of quality, effectiveness, and experience
  • Develop and deploy effective marketing programs across social media, influencers, SEM, email, print and other marketing channels
  • Define and execute PR strategy to build awareness and drive sales growth
  • Refine and implement a channel strategy (retail, wholesale, direct-to-consumer) consistent with brand’s value proposition
  • Execute a well-defined outbound sales process, as well as handle inbound inquiries, consistent with channel strategy
  • Conduct consumer research to understand emerging industry trends and brands
  • Identify and manage important trade shows, industry events, and speaking opportunities to promote products and founder
  • Manage the marketing team to drive brand value, awareness, and revenue growth
  • Create a positive culture in the marketing department that marries learning, data-driven decision making, ethics, and fun
     
 
Expectations – First 6 Months:
  • Refine the brand’s vision, story and value proposition; ensure consistency and synergy between the product brands and the spa and salon brand
  • Develop a marketing plan to build awareness and sales growth across direct-to-consumer and retail (including key activities, resources, and metrics to measure success)
  • Develop an education and incentive program to support our retail partners to make product launches successful
 
Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years of relevant product marketing experience
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a consumer products brand, vision and value proposition that is distinctive and authentic to the founder’s story and existing brand values
  • Significant experience in digital marketing, with proficiency in executing social media, paid search, website optimization, email, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, video/YouTube campaigns
  • Data-driven approach to continually refine and optimize marketing effectiveness
  • Ability to  create clear work plans with deliverables and deadlines to drive results
  • Ability to be resourceful and drive significant impact with limited resources
  • Excellent communicator who can work in a collaborative environment
  • A leader who can direct the team and roll up sleeves to get work done
  • Work experience in beauty (skin care preferred), with a well-developed network of contacts within the industry
  • Creative, positive and proactive personality
