milk + honey is seeking a Recruiter to join our People team!

This talented person will work to ensure that recruitment “operations” proceed smoothly and efficiently by supporting the sourcing and tracking of applicants within the interview process, setting up and maintaining the best tools and systems to enable efficiency across the recruiting team, and draw upon insights from recruiting data to enable stronger decision making and forecasting.  This role sits at the intersection of the analytics and the human components of finding and hiring the strongest talent to seed milk + honey’s growth.  The ideal candidate is passionate about people, data-savvy, a personable and effective communicator, and operationally-minded to enable scaling.

Our eponymous product line was born in 2014 and developed in collaboration with a team of more than 50 estheticians to address the needs of our clients using only the highest-quality ingredients and pure essential oils. milk + honey’s product line recently expanded to skincare and milk + honey’s products are sold at dozens of retailers, including Free People, Neiman Marcus, Ulta, and directly to consumers at milkandhoney.com. 

milk + honey has been on the Inc 5000 list of fastest growing companies for eleven years and expects to continue to grow both the distribution of its products but will also open new spa locations in additional markets.

Essential Duties: 

  • Support all recruitment processes, document workflows, ATS system and dashboards. 

  • Streamline processes, remove operational roadblocks and identify and promote strategies and behaviors that bring us the highest quality candidates to grow and scale. 

  • Conduct candidate interviews, follow-up and general communication management as directed. 

  • Maintain existing and deliver new recruiting metrics and dashboards for the organization and business leaders to support accountability and transparency in all recruitment processes. 

  • Work closely with Human Resources to increase the use of recruiting data to measure performance and track hiring progress. 

  • Support Recruiting team by executing certain stages of the candidate lifecycle; meet regularly to evaluate opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations. 

  • Execute recruitment strategy to meet department and organizational goals and contribute toward building a strong employer brand. 

  • Support and nurture Diversity, Equity and Belonging practices and make further recommendations for improvement. 

  • Create and maintain internal documentation of workflows and processes. 

  • Effectively project manage recruitment programs as directed. 


  • Meaningful work experience or Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Human Resources, Communications, Business or related discipline.  

  • Knowledge in all full life-cycle recruiting components including, but not limited to, sourcing, networking, assessing, legal considerations, job analysis, wage and salary trends, relationship management and due diligence.  Experience in high volume recruiting preferred. 

  • Consistent track record for problem solving and analyzing data to inform stronger business outcomes. 

  • Strong bias for action and an ability to deliver results on pace with the needs of the business. 

  • Demonstrated personal accountability, integrity, and resilience. 

  • Flexible but tenacious. 

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.  

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team. 

  • Strong preference for a candidate with strong familiarity of ATS and HRIS systems (ideally Paycom), advanced Google Suite skills, and prior recruiter experience. 

This position is based at milk + honey’s corporate office in Central Austin. While we will have lots of flexibility in our work environment and will allow some flexibility from working from home, we expect that this person will work from our office at least 3 days per week.
